Internship Program at HP Labs China Location: Beijing - China

HP Labs China (http://www.hpl.hp.com/china/) is now seeking global top talents to fill multiple internship positions in two research areas: information analysis and networking.
We are looking for exceptionally talented students in Computer Science or related disciplines. Students from China, North America, Europe and other parts of the world who are passionate about working on challenging research problems are encouraged to apply. The selected students will work with HP Labs researchers to conduct fundamental and applied research in the two research areas.
Research areas include (but are not limited to):
(1) Information Analysis

  • Information extraction

  • Information retrieval

  • Data mining

  • Natural language processing

  • Large scale data management

  • High performance and distributed computing (2) Networking

  • High-performance networking algorithms (packet classification, deep packet inspection)

  • Parallel algorithms and architectures using reconfigurable hardware

  • Enterprise and datacenter networks

  • Programmable software-defined networks

  • Information and network security

  • Cloud computing and services

  • Network monitoring and management

  • Network virtualization

  • Quality-of-Service

  • Energy efficiency

  • Wireless mesh, ad hoc, and sensor networks

  • WLAN

  • Mobile networks, systems, and applications For students from China, the internship is for at least 6 months. Work schedule could be flexible based on the students' availability. Overseas students are encouraged to apply for full-time intern positions for at least three months.

    Xiamen University International Scholarships 2011-2012, China

    The Xiamen University announced scholarships for excellent applicants .The scholarship is available for undergraduate’s, master’s and doctor’s students.Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens and in good health.Applicants for undergraduate studies must hold a high school diploma and not be older than 25, for undergraduate studies must hold a high school diploma and not be older than 25,for doctoral studies must hold a master’s degree and not be older than 45.The Scholarship recipients will have their tuition fees covered, up to a maximum of 3 years for a PhD, 2 -3 years for a Master degree and 4-5 years for a Bachelor degree. The recipients’ academic performance will be assessed each year and only those achieving the required standard will have their scholarship renewed for the following year.

    Scholarship Decription:The Master of European and International Law (MEIL) is an intensive one-year programme leading to an LL.M. conferred by the University of Hamburg. The programme first started in 2008. Chinese students can combine the MEIL with the Master of Chinese Law as part of the Double Master. In the 2009-2010 academic year nine European students from seven countries enrolled in the MEIL.

    Qualifications required
    Applicants must meet the following conditions:
    (1) Be a citizen of a country other than the P.R. China;
    (2) Have obtained a law degree (Bachelor of Law, State Examination or equivalent) or be sure to obtain a law degree prior to enrolment;
    (3) Proficient in English, demonstrated by being a native English speaker, having completed undergraduate studies in English, or by holding a valid TOEFL with a minimum score of 100 or an IELTS 7.0.
