IOM has been entrusted by the ACP Secretariat in Brussels with the task to establish an ACP Observatory on Migration, funded by the European Union, through the creation of a network of research centres and experts in the six ACP regions, namely West Africa, Central Africa, East Africa, Southern Africa, the Caribbean and the Pacific.
The Observatory will aim at providing policy-makers and the public at large with reliable and harmonized data and applied research on intra-ACP regional migration and in particular on the migration and development nexus.
A Programme Management Unit (PMU) has been set-up in Brussels that is responsible for the overall management and administration of the ACP Observatory on Migration.
Under the direct supervision of the Regional Resource Management Officer and in coordination with the ACP Programme Manager the incumbent will be responsible for providing general technical assistance to Observatory web-enabled applications and to the users' network in ACP and EU countries.
