To maintain high levels of home return, it has been an established agreement between the Government of Japan (the sole Program donor) and the World Bank that JJ/WBGSP scholars are not entitled to seek employment of any kind at the World Bank or the International Monetary Fund (IMF) for three years after they finish their academic program. The three-year employment restriction applies to World Bank and IMF headquarters and field offices.
