Conference on “Albania and Europe in a political regard” Tirana, 25 May 2011‏

“Albania and Europe in a political regard”
to be held in
Tirana, Albania
May 25, 2011
The conference
seeks to explore ways of perceptions regarding the relationships of Albania and
Europe in different periods. The main focus will consider the influence of
great powers in the Balkans and its impacts on Albania. As the political
policies of Europe has changed throughout the history so did its influences and
policies towards Albania. This conference will try to analyse to what extend
did European great powers impact the Albanian political and social efforts,
starting from the Albanian struggle for self determination.  
The
conference will have three panels, the first will focus on the historical relationships
between Albania and Europe. The second panel will focus on the political-international
relations between Albania and EU’s member states and its impacts in the
Balkan’s region. The third panel will focus on the contemporary political and
economic issues of EU  in relation to
enlargement of western Balkans and its future.
The
conference invites researchers, practitioners and academicians in the fields of
politics, history, economics, law ecc.

All papers need to be submitted and
will be peer-reviewed prior to the conference. Looking
to encourage an informed dialogue, we welcome papers no less than 3000 words by
scholars,
The number of participants
presenting at the main sessions will be limited to those who submit papers of
highest quality and relevance. In addition, short poster sessions will be
organised for other selected participants.
All accepted papers will be included
to the conference proceedings.
In addition, the selected papers
will be considered to be published an ISSN journal.

Abstracts Critical Requirements:
·         Title: The
abstract title should be 12 point Times New Roman and bold.
·         Author name: full
name of the writer(s), institution/affiliation and email address.
·         Body: The
abstract itself should be in 10-12 point, not bold, single spaced Times New
Roman, and
          should be up to 300 words long. The abstract
should be fully justified.
·         Keywords:Keywords
should be in Times New Roman, 10 point, anditalicized.
·         Format:Abstracts
should be submitted in Microsoft Word format (.doc or .rtf).
The conference Committee inFaculty of Social Sciences is requiring a short biography (100 words long) to
be sent along with the abstract.
