St. Thomas University




St. Thomas University is both a public and Roman Catholic liberal arts university located in Fredericton, New Brunswick. Founded in 1910, St. Thomas University is built on a foundation of Catholic and humanistic heritage, its concern for social issues, its interaction with the community at large and its sensitivity to the needs of individual students. A strong sense of community unites its alumni, students, staff, faculty, and friends.

Housing: All of our residence rooms are equipped with high speed internet, telephone and cable services and each residence has study areas, TV lounges, laundry facilities and snack machines. We set quiet hours every day for study and sleep. Security staff are in residence between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. and a residence staff member is on 24-hour duty. We have three on-campus residences, all recently refurbished: Holy Cross House ( predominantly female); Vanier Hall (female); and Harrington Hall (predominantly male). Two the the three residences are equipped for students with disabilities.  

Entrance scholarships: The Entrance Scholarship Programme is highly competitive and is designed to attract outstanding scholars to the St. Thomas University campus. Except when otherwise specified, the entrance awards are open to candidates for full-time admission to the first year of the Bachelor of Arts Programme who are applying on the basis of their high school records.
