Scientific Trainee at the European Biogas Association Location: Brussels DL: 31 August 2011

EBA is an emerging association gathering national biogas associations and companies. EBA promotes the sustainable biogas production and use in Europe. We are seeking a scientific intern to assist in general scientific duties and project management




Dates: Full time internship position to be held from 3rd October for a period of 6 months




Job description and scope of activities:

- Support the EBA team in managing various technical Working Groups issues

- Search and analyze scientific information, draft texts, publications and reports

- Assist in writing scientific texts and position papers

- Assist in project management and other activities carried out by EBA




Professional skills:

- Bachelor/Master level or equivalent degree in a scientific domain (natural science, agriculture, environmental engineering etc.)

- Fluent in written and spoken English (German, French or other languages are an asset)

- Deep interest in biogas

- IT literate (MS Office)

- Strong analytical skills

- Excellent writing and communication qualities

- Autonomy

- Flexibility regarding working times, traveling, taking over other tasks

- Proactive and delivery oriented

- Motivated team player
