The Museum's groundbreaking book series Jewish Responses to Persecution,
1933-1946 illuminates the Jewish perspective on the Holocaust through the
voices of the victims. Volume II (1938-1940) explores the Jewish response
to the aftermath of Kristallnacht, the beginning of the war, and the first
years of the ghettos in Poland. Editor Alexandra Garbarini, Associate
Professor of History at Williams College, and Museum survivor volunteers
will present a reading and discussion of the diaries, letters, and other
materials in this volume.
