Internship Program at HP Labs China Location: Beijing - China

HP Labs China (http://www.hpl.hp.com/china/) is now seeking global top talents to fill multiple internship positions in two research areas: information analysis and networking.
We are looking for exceptionally talented students in Computer Science or related disciplines. Students from China, North America, Europe and other parts of the world who are passionate about working on challenging research problems are encouraged to apply. The selected students will work with HP Labs researchers to conduct fundamental and applied research in the two research areas.
Research areas include (but are not limited to):
(1) Information Analysis

  • Information extraction

  • Information retrieval

  • Data mining

  • Natural language processing

  • Large scale data management

  • High performance and distributed computing (2) Networking

  • High-performance networking algorithms (packet classification, deep packet inspection)

  • Parallel algorithms and architectures using reconfigurable hardware

  • Enterprise and datacenter networks

  • Programmable software-defined networks

  • Information and network security

  • Cloud computing and services

  • Network monitoring and management

  • Network virtualization

  • Quality-of-Service

  • Energy efficiency

  • Wireless mesh, ad hoc, and sensor networks

  • WLAN

  • Mobile networks, systems, and applications For students from China, the internship is for at least 6 months. Work schedule could be flexible based on the students' availability. Overseas students are encouraged to apply for full-time intern positions for at least three months.
