Epposi is expanding the Brussels-based Secretariat to meet the needs of our strategy. We are seeking a (preferably) full-time EU policy and communications intern who will report directly to the Executive Director.
The ideal candidate should: Be proficient in both English and French. Hold a university degree in Political Science, International Affairs, Law or European Studies. Be currently engaged in a relevant advanced degree (masters or above) for which an internship can be considered as an integral requirement of their course. Be computer literate. Have a very strong command of the policies of the EU and the way of functioning of the European institutions. Be motivated and able to work in a multicultural team.
Responsibilities The Epposi intern will be asked to: Conduct research on European policy topics covering general developments in human healthcare as well as specifically in the field of Epposi activities – rare diseases, chronic conditions, health technology assessment and innovation in healthcare. Under the supervision of the Epposi Executive Director and the Programme delivery Senior adviser, arrange and conduct interviews with politicians, civil servants, NGOs, patients’ organisations, healthcare professional, industry and their related associations, and government agencies throughout Europe on issues pertaining to Epposi core areas of content delivery. Attend meetings and conferences in the framework of European institutions or professional associations. Collaborate in the writing of articles in Epposi’s newsletter or in other publications of the organisation. Monitoring EU institutional and national websites for relevant information.
