Eligibility:
The successful candidate will have a good honours degree in Engineering, Physics or Mathematics (minimum 2:1). Prior experience of Computational Fluid Dynamics would be beneficial but is not essential.

Scholarship Description: This project is part of a new research collaboration between Dormer Tools based in Sheffield (part of the Sandvik Group of Companies) and the School of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Leeds. It is concerned with the development of accurate Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) models of drill coolant flow and heat transfer.
Fully funded 3 year PhD (Fees £3,466 and Maintenance £13,000). The studentship is available to a UK resident or an EU student who has been resident in the UK for a minimum of 3 years (due to funding restrictions).
