Journal of Turkish Literature, Bilkent University, Ankara‏

The Journal of Turkish Literature (JTL), which is published annually by the Center for Turkish Literature at Bilkent University, Ankara, Turkey, and distributed by Syracuse University Press, Syracuse, New York, is the first and only literary scholarly journal in English devoted in its entirety to Turkish literature from all periods.

For its upcoming issue, JTL is seeking articles on Turkish literature from any period, from its beginnings to the present day. Articles can be on any subject related to Turkish literature, and must be between 3000-6000 words.

In order to get an idea of the sort of articles corresponding to the mission of the journal, please review the tables of contents of the first and second issues:

Interested authors are invited to submit a 250- to 300-word abstract of their planned article, along with a 150-word autobiographical note providing background about himself or herself as the article's author.

The deadline for submission of the abstract and autobiographical note has now been extended: they should be submitted no later than Sunday, 10 July 2011.

Authors of the planned articles will be notified of acceptance by 15 July 2011.

Final versions of articles accepted for inclusion must be submitted no later than Thursday, 15 September 2011.
