The European Newspaper Publishers' Association (ENPA) is a non-profit
organisation of 5200 titles from 26 European countries representing the interests of
newspaper publishers to the European Institutions. More than 120 million copies of
newspapers are sold each day and read by over 235 million people in Europe.
Newspapers online have a significant number of unique visits on their sites on daily
basis.
ENPA is looking for two non paid internships for communications / events
management at the associationʼs offices in Brussels as from September 2011 for 4-
6 months to help our communications strategy and forthcoming events. A small
allowance for transport and food will be paid.
Tasks:
• Maintain an overview of key external developments and deliver effective
communication strategies and activities, in cooperation with the
Communications manager;
• Support ENPAʼs organisational work, such as helping to prepare meetings
and manage events
• Assisting ENPA advisors with research and surveys to support our lobbying
priorities
• Helping to compile key figures and information on the European newspaper
industry
Qualifications
• The person should have a background in communications/media
studies/market research and have a strong interest be in EU media policies
• Candidate should have excellent English language skills and very good
written and verbal communication skills
• Strong IT skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, database).
• The candidate should be well organised and able to work efficiently
• Knowledge of EU policies and institutions is an advantage
ENPA internships are only open to candidates registered in a
University/school/institute, as a contract must be signed between ENPA and
the student's home university. Please note that this is a compulsory condition;
