Vacancy Announcement - 1.Coordinator
The Public International Law and Policy Group (PILPG) is seeking a part-time Coordinator for its newly established project in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH.) PILPG is implementing a two-year project funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) aimed at supporting BiH NGOs, activists and civic leaders to play a stronger and more integral role in identifying and proposing reforms needed to strengthen BiH's Euro-Atlantic integration processes, stability, security and prosperity.
The Coordinator will be based in Banja Luka, and as part of a small team will support the Chief of Party in ongoing project implementation.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Identify and build relationships with NGOs, activists and civic leaders interested in reform issues, in order to create an ongoing dialogue on civic needs and interests in support of broader reform processes
• Work with civil society to identify capacity building skills needed to strengthen activism in BiH as part of a wider strategy of engagement
• Review media sources (print, broadcast and alternative) to understand trends in reporting on reform and methods of using media tools in support of advocacy efforts
• Contribute to reports on the status and progress of the project
• Provide organizational and logistical support for a series of training workshops, roundtables and conferences
• Support basic project administration
• Travel to Sarajevo as required for project activities and consultations
• Other duties as required

Requirements
• University degree
• Professional knowledge of English (verbal and written)
• At least 3 years of experience working for non-governmental organizations or international organizations in BiH
• Strong understanding of the challenges facing civil society in BiH
• Strong understanding of the politics of BiH
• Experience organizing workshops, conference and other events, including logistical preparation and active participation
• Good interpersonal skills and communication abilities
• Positive attitude and interest in working with civil society in BiH in support of broader reforms
• Ability to work independently, respond to changing needs and priorities, manage multiple tasks simultaneously and demonstrate initiative, creativity and out-of-the-box thinking
