This course is designed to meet the expectations of all potential candidates who share a common interest in Macedonian language and culture. Candidates don't need to be registered students. However, registered students will be awarded credits. This is an opportunity to improve your language skills or learn new while enjoying your stay in Skopje and Ohrid and exploring Macedonia.
We strongly recommend students who would like to enroll for UACS study programs in Macedonian language, whose native language is not Macedonian, to take this Summer Course.
Course Description
Intensive Language Program
o 4 classes per day/20 classes weekly/total of 60 classes - language course
o Levels: beginners (A1 and A2), intermediate (B1 and B2) and advanced (C1) According to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages
Culture Program
o 2 classes twice a week/4 classes weekly/ total of 12 classes � culture courses
o 2 classes twice a week/4 classes weekly/ total of 12 classes � creative workshops
You could select from: Macedonian contemporary literature, Macedonian film, Cultural Heritage, Gastronomy, Handicrafts, Art and Visual Culture, Creative writing, Literary Translation, Archeology
The Course Program
o Placement test - July 10 at 11:00
o Classes begin on July 11 at 09:30 Classes end � July 29
o Weekend excursions to Ohrid, Bitola, Prespa
o International party � July 30
o Average class size: 5 � 12 students
o 8 ECTS language course + 2 ECTS culture program
Tuition and fees
* 1,200 Euros tuition + 100 Euros non-refundable registration fee
* Included: total of 60 classes, textbook and materials, excursions and sightseeing listed in the program. Also included: local transportation, housing (B&B), lunch, tickets for cultural events.
