The Council of Bars and Law Societies of Europe (CCBE), representative organisation of around 1 million European lawyers through its member bars and law societies, is currently seeking to recruit an Intern Legal Policy starting 1 September 2011 for a period of 6 month.
The Legal Policy Intern will assist the Legal Advisors within the CCBE with their daily work covering all CCBE policy areas.
The successful candidate should have:
the ability to understand and appreciate the interests of the legal profession in Europe, with a background in law
a good knowledge, and some experience, of EC law and EC institutions
a working knowledge of French and English, with any other language being an asset
good written and oral communication skills
computer literacy
The contract is a Belgian “contrat d'immersion professionnelle” and the monthly salary is 707 euros net.
